You’ve probably heard that Resistance training is an important part to any training routine. That is so true.
The thing is resistance training can take many forms not just methodically pushing weights back and forward.
Some will like the high intensity of loading up the big weights and going for it but then there are those that know that they should do the resistance (weights) training but find it boring and uninteresting.
Well the truth is this, training doesn’t need to be mind bending it should keep you going back and get the desired affect.
The main reason for resistance training is to:
- Increase your muscle density in the body.
What that basically means is that by conditioning your muscle in your body, your muscle to fat ratio is higher resulting in your base metabolism rising thus your body will be eating up more calories each day.
Simply put:
- Muscle uses more energy to survive than fat
- Fat just sits around taking up space and creating health issues.
