Sports Specific

When you compete in a sport you expect the following of yourself:

  • You want to give yourself the best chance possible of succeeding
  • Be a winner or
  • At the very least make the top grade.

 

In my experience it is generally the fitness that can make or break any Sportsperson - Athlete.
There is a certain stage that is reached that every participant will generally have a similar skill level.

  • Fitness
  • Strength
  • Power
  • Dedication  - These are all needed to get to the next level.

 

Fitness for any sport doesn’t just mean running a fast 5km or doing a massive bench press, it means having all the fore mentioned qualities in the specific sport you are involved in.     

All these qualities need to be harnessed and specifically used for the movements in your chosen sport.

The end result is you will become a very finely tuned and confident sportsperson – athlete thus giving yourself the best opportunity to go to the next step on the ladder to success.
